Card Page
Everything a single Card holds, section by section.
This is the page for a single Card, and keeps track of all the specific information for the Card.
The Card’s name is at the top of the page. To the far right you will see a button with 3 dots:
This will show a menu with 4 options:
- Edit Card (to edit the name, color, and pattern)
- Remove from this Collection (if it belongs to a Collection)
- Move to a Collection (if there is an existing Collection to add it to)
- Delete this Card (this will put the Card and all its info into the Trash Bin)
If an option is disabled it’s because that option can’t apply to the Card.
Edit Card Dialog
Editing a Card changes three things and nothing else: its name, its color and its pattern. The Details it carries, its photos, its files, its Records and its Reminders are all left exactly as they are.
Every Card needs a name, and that name has to include a letter or a number.
Name *
A color and a pattern can be changed as often as you like, here or in the Color + Pattern section further down the page.
Under the Card’s name is a Showcase section, a place that shows the Cards and images you have added. There are different modes, and each mode has settings you can adjust.
Everything below that is a separate section, and each section handles keeping track of specific information.
Remove from this Collection
A Card can leave its Collection at any time and stand on its own. It keeps its Details, its values and their history, its photos, its files, its Records and its Reminders: nothing is left behind and nothing has to be re-entered.
What changes is who those Details belong to. Inside a Collection the list is shared, so a Detail added or removed there lands on every Card at once. A Card that has left carries its own copy, so reshaping it afterwards touches nothing but itself. The Collection and the Cards still in it are unchanged by the departure.
Move to a Collection puts it back whenever you like, and a Card can join a different Collection than the one it left.
Color + Pattern
You can use this section to change the Card’s color and/or pattern. You click the change button to open the edit dialog.
This section also shows how the Card color will appear on light and dark backgrounds. If you choose a color that is too light for a light background (or too dark for a dark background) we automatically adjust the color so you can still see it.
Tags
This section shows the Tags that have been set on this Card. A Tag is a label you put on a Card to record information not covered by the other sections.
Tags are universal, which means that when you create a Tag, it becomes available to other items in TrackThat: other Cards, Records, and Reminders. Everything you tag with the same Tag name will show up together in Search results. This way you can make groups that “stay together” across the boundaries of other single Cards, Collections, Records, and Reminders.
You can create a brand new tag which can be set on this Card (and elsewhere):
And you can manage which Tags are set on this specific Card:
Details
Details are the way you decide what information you want to track.
There are 3 main types:
- Text (you can store any text you want, including long text for sentences and paragraphs)
- Choice (you can make a list of options, and then select which option to set for this specific Card)
- Date (this field makes sure you can sort certain information by date)
Whenever you update a Detail:
the new entry is saved, and any entries from the past are saved to that Detail’s history:
You can find more detailed info by using the following link: Details.
Records
You can think of Records as detailed entries about your Card. Records can save the:
- Date (single date or timespan)
- Cards (you can attach a single Record to this Card or many Cards)
- Title of the Record
- Notes
- Tags
- Photos + Video
- Files (PDFs, Scanned documents, Word files)
Reminders
Reminders keep track of upcoming dates and tasks. Each Reminder stays on each Card it is saved to, and shows up in this section, on the Calendar, and on your Dashboard.
Photos + Video
Every photo and video you add to this Card is kept here. You can arrange the order of your media. The first image in the set will be used as the “back” of the Card, and will represent the Card, and show on pages like the Dashboard and All Cards.
Opening a photo shows it as large as the window allows. Videos play in the same place.
Files
Files are typically the paperwork you keep that relates to the Card: registration papers, receipts, manuals, test results, etc.
Once saved, you can view the file, rename it, save it back to your computer or phone (if you lose the original copy), or delete it.
Calendar
This Calendar shows Records and Reminders for this Card alone (not to be confused with All Calendars which shows Records and Reminders for all Cards, at the same time).
The Calendar section has Add Record and Add Reminder buttons, so you can add them here quickly, as well as adding them in their respective sections above.
