Reminders
How to set something up ahead, on its own or on a repeating schedule.
A Reminder is something coming up, so it takes a date ahead.
Reminders can repeat on a schedule, and they show on the Calendar beside your Records.
Making one
A Reminder takes a title and a date ahead of today, and it is made in the same dialog as a Record, on the other tab.
A Reminder can also repeat: every month, every year, every so many weeks. A repeating Reminder is one item that keeps moving forward rather than a row of copies, so editing it changes every future occurrence at once.
Marking one done
Marking a Reminder done can keep a Record of it at the same time, so what you actually did stays on the Card instead of quietly disappearing off the Calendar.
That is the difference worth knowing: the Reminder was the plan, and the Record is the evidence. Keeping one as you finish the other is how a Card ends up with a history you can read years later.
A repeating Reminder moves along to its next date when you mark it done, so the schedule stays where the work actually happened rather than where the calendar guessed it would.
