Do I need an account to try it?
No. The app runs fully on your device with no account, no card, no email. You get one collection, up to 50 cards, and up to 50 photos, videos, and documents, the real app, locally. If you decide to upgrade, your data is already there: creating an account attaches to what you have built.
What does it cost?
One flat fee of $12/yr, billed annually, the launch price. Unlimited collections and cards, media, and 25 GB of cloud backup. Nothing else is metered.
What is cloud backup?
A safety copy of everything you keep, so a lost or broken phone never takes your data with it. Sign in on your next device and it is all there. The copy is encrypted so we cannot read it, and the 25 GB quota only counts this copy, never what is on your device.
What if I forget my password?
You reset it by email, like anywhere. If you use cloud backup, you also pick what happens in the worst case: let us keep a recovery key so a forgotten password can never cost you your data, or keep your backup so private that nobody, not even us, can unlock it. You pick when you turn backup on, and you can change your mind later.
Will the price go up?
For new members, eventually. $12/yr is the launch price and it will rise as TrackThat grows. For you: the price you join at is the price you keep for as long as your subscription stays active.
Does it work offline?
Yes, completely. The whole app runs on your device, so a dead spot in the barn or basement never stops the log.
Can I use it on more than one device?
Yes, any device you like, one at a time, like a banking app: signing in on a new device signs the old one out, and your data is right there. If you keep your data on one device only (no cloud backup), you move it yourself with a backup file.
Using LITE? All your data is on this device. If you want to use the data here on a different device:
1. create a backup of this device
2. send the backup to your new device
3. on your new device, load the backup from your old device
What happens if I cancel?
Your account keeps working through the year you have already paid for; it simply does not renew. After that, your account goes read-only and you can create a backup at any time, your data is yours, regardless of payment status.
What if I need more storage?
The storage add-on is +50 GB for $12/yr, stackable, add as many blocks as you need. Local storage on your device is always unlimited; the add-on only extends the cloud backup copy.
Will you email me marketing?
Never. Email is transactional only: verification, password resets, receipts, payment problems. The product is the pitch.
How private is my data?
Your data lives on your device, not on our servers. If you turn on cloud backup, the copy is encrypted so we cannot read it. Your photos and files are stored exactly as you added them; we never edit them. No ads, no tracking, no selling data. The privacy page spells out every detail.
