Quick Add
The one door that leads to anything you want to add, and the questions it asks on the way.
Quick Add is the fastest way in. Instead of finding the right page first, you say what you want to add and it walks you to the right place.
It lives on the rail, and the a key opens it from anywhere.
Pick a Card, a Collection, a Record, a Reminder, a Detail, a Tag, a photo or video, or a document. Some options wait until you have a Card to put them on, because that is what they attach to.
Create a Card Dialog
A Card created through Quick Add stands on its own. You can move it into a Collection whenever you like, from the Card’s own page.
Enter the name for your new Card. Every Card must have a name, and that name must include either a letter or a number.

If you choose not to set a color and/or pattern, we will assign a random color and/or a random pattern.
Picking the Card
Everything you add lands on a Card, so when the thing you picked needs one, Quick Add asks which.
The list is every Card you have, so this is a chooser rather than a search. Picking one carries you straight to the next step with that Card already in hand.
Photos and video
Photos and video save to the Card you picked and stay with it. Add as many as you like, in one go or over time.
They are stored on this device at full quality, exactly as they came off your camera or phone. Nothing is resized, recompressed or stripped.
Files
Documents save to the Card you picked and stay with it: registration papers, receipts, manuals, anything worth keeping alongside the thing itself.
Updating a Detail
Pick the Detail you want to change and give it a new value. The list shows what each one holds today, so you can see what you are changing before you change it.
The new value is recorded with today’s date and the old one stays in that Detail’s history. Nothing is overwritten.
